Talk to us first
Tell us a little about yourself and a CISA recruiter will call you back. We’ll answer your questions, explain the contracts, and tell you exactly which of the steps below apply to you. No paperwork and no obligation.

Get your insurance license
You’ll need an active Life & Health license in your resident state before you can sell. If you’re not licensed yet, we’ll walk you through the pre-licensing course, the state exam, and fingerprinting — and check in with you until you pass.
Already licensed? Skip to Step 3.

Complete your AHIP certification
Most health plans require AHIP certification before you can sell Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans. You’ll need your National Producer Number (NPN) first — look it up free at the link below, then create your AHIP account with it.
Use our link and you’ll pay $125 instead of the standard $175. Print your certificate when you finish — you’ll send it to us in Step 6.

Get Errors & Omissions coverage
E&O insurance protects you against claims from clients. You’ll need to carry it the entire time you’re contracted with CISA — a minimum of $1 million per claim / $2 million aggregate, or your carrier’s minimum if it’s higher.
Keep it active. If your E&O or license lapses, commissions are held until coverage is restored.

Fill out & sign your contracting packet
Open the packet and fill in the boxes right on your computer — no printing needed. It covers your contact information, direct deposit setup, your W-9, and the Independent Producer Agreement. Type your info once and it fills across every form.
Have these ready before you start- Your Social Security number
- Insurance license number and NPN
- Bank routing and account numbers (for direct deposit)
- E&O policy number, carrier, and effective dates
On a computer, the form opens right in your browser with fillable boxes — type your info, sign, then save or print. On a phone, tap “Download Instead” and open it in a free PDF app like Adobe Acrobat Reader. Then send it to us in Step 6.

Send us your documents
Last step. Email copies of the documents below to our contracting team. Once they’re in, we countersign your agreement and submit your carrier appointments — then you’re clear to sell.
